Comfort Zone Camp invites children ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one to join us for a unique weekend experience
Comfort Zone Camp is a free, safe and fun weekend camp where children come together with a dedicated adult volunteer for a weekend of unconditional love and support to honor their loss and their loved one. Children have the unique opportunity to drink in the incredibly important message that they are not alone, gain tools that will help them in their day-to-day grief journey and put smiles on their faces!
Since 1999, Richmond, Virginia based Comfort Zone Camp, the nation’s largest bereavement camp, has held over 50 camps and had more than 2,000 grieving children from across the country attend their camp programs. We expanded our reach after the tragic events of September 11th and started a satellite program for children who lost a loved one that day. We have held 15 camps in the NY/NJ area and now those camps are open to any grieving children. We have also had children who lost a loved one as a result of the war attend our camps from around the country.
We hope you will consider sending your child. It would be an honor to give back to your family who has given so much to each one of ours. Camper Information | Camper Application | Camp Calendar | Fact Sheet |
