Comfort Zone Camp® (CZC) provides a fun and safe place for grieving children to heal. Headquartered in Richmond, CZC is the nation’s largest bereavement camp. Our program combines traditional fun camp activities with grief support groups (Healing Circles) allowing grieving children to be “kids” again but also enabling them to learn coping skills for their grief journey. All programs are free.

CZC primarily serves children ages 7-17 but also hosts a College Age Camp each summer for individuals ages 18-22. Every camper is paired with an adult “Big Buddy” volunteer who is their anchor, mentor, friend and “shadow” for the entire camp experience. More than 1,000 volunteers make our camps possible.
